Getting Started with Odyssey
Sign up or log in
Odyssey is a web-based writing application. Start by visiting the Odyssey app and signing up with your email. You can also use your GitHub account to sign in if you prefer.
A 14-day free trial is included — no credit card required. You can cancel anytime during the trial.
Create your first document
Once logged in, you'll see your dashboard with a list of documents. Click "New document" to create your first writing project.
Give it a name and description. You can organize documents into folders and collections later.
The editor interface
The editor is split into three areas:
- Left sidebar — Your document outline and recent notes
- Canvas — Your writing area, with a clean typographic focus
- Right panel — AI suggestions, collaboration info, and export options
Start typing to begin writing. Formatting is available through the toolbar, or use markdown shortcuts.
First features to explore
- AI suggestions — Begin typing a sentence and watch for blue suggestions at your cursor. Press Tab to accept, Esc to dismiss.
- Export — Once you've written something, try exporting to Markdown, PDF, or Word from the right panel.
- Collaboration — Invite another writer to edit the same document in real-time by clicking the share icon.
