What Odyssey does
Odyssey is a personal productivity layer that sits between you and the information you care about. It reads your calendar, surfaces relevant context before meetings, tracks habits and goals, and adapts to how you actually work rather than how a productivity app assumes you should.
The AI core connects these pieces. When you are preparing for a meeting, Odyssey surfaces related notes, open action items, and relevant background — without you asking. When a deadline is coming up, it nudges you based on your own past patterns, not a generic algorithm.
We built it because the tools we were using required too much maintenance. Keeping a task list current, reviewing notes before calls, tracking whether a habit streak was on track — all of that overhead adds up. Odyssey handles it.
What changed in the beta cycle
The earliest version of Odyssey treated the AI layer as an add-on. It was a separate "chat with your notes" feature that you had to deliberately invoke. That did not work.
What users wanted was ambient awareness — the AI noticing things and surfacing them at the right moment, not waiting to be asked. We rebuilt the integration layer around that insight. The AI is now woven through the whole product rather than bolted on the side.
We also cut two features that were in the original spec: a collaborative workspace mode and a native mobile app. Both will come, but shipping them before the core experience was solid would have been the wrong order. The desktop and web experience is where we focused, and that is what you will find in the beta.
How to join
The beta is invitation-based while we manage capacity. Existing waitlist members get priority access this week; open signups roll on a two-week lag. Feedback goes directly to the team — look for the feedback button in the product header, which opens a lightweight form that puts your input directly into our review queue.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have tried other AI productivity tools and found them lacking. Odyssey is built around a different model, and we want to know whether that difference lands.
What comes next
The beta period runs for approximately six weeks. After that, assuming no surprises, we move to general availability with a subscription model. Beta users who provide active feedback will receive a discount on launch pricing.
